Tuesday

Many businesses seek information to help them improve the quality of their products and services. One reliable method for gathering such feedback is commissioning paid surveys. There are many survey companies who provide this service online. The research companies endeavor to create questions that draw out such information from consumers. A representative sample of individuals are sought to provide answers to these queries.

How To Become A Mystery Shopper

Monday

How To Make Money Mystery Shopping – The Fun Way.

Quick. Think of a job that is fun, takes little time, is
un-supervised, and pays reasonably well. Stumped? Well,
here’s a fun part time job that fits the bill: A mystery
shopping job.

Learn how to become a mystery shopper.

I have been a mystery shopper for many years. Whenever
people figured out what I was getting paid to do, they were
flabbergasted. Of course, in most cases, I did not shop,
per se. So, it’s sort of a misnomer. Instead, I visited
places. So, I prefer the term, mystery visitor.

Details you ask? Okay, I’ll show you exactly how to get
paid to be a mystery shopper – and have a blast doing it!

Background On Mystery Shopping

Mystery shopping also goes by the term, “secret shopping”.
It’s all quite simple, really: You’re paid to visit stores
and rate the service and/or products they provide.

Companies use mystery shoppers to gain a sense of how their
customers view them. From the feedback provided by mystery
shoppers, the companies can glean ideas on how to better
market their wares.

Once you join a mystery shopping company you’ll be sent an
assignment along with a checklist of things to keep an eye
out for (when you shop). The company will fax, mail, or
email you details of the assignment. Or, in some cases,
they’ll just email you a link to their web site where you
can get all the details. After you’ve mystery shopped a few
times you’ll have memorized the basic things to look for.

When you go on your shop, your objective is to act natural,
like a typical customer. Just act as you normally do but in
this instance, you’re to be more keenly aware of your
surroundings and interactions with employees.

After spending a few minutes in the store you’ll leave to
go and fill in the form the mystery shopping company
provided you with. You should get out of sight of the store
and fill in the form. Make a habit of filling in the forms
immediately after you comlete the shop. Yes, when the
details are fresh on your mind. Then, depending on the
instructions you were given, you’ll either fax, email,
call, mail or enter the report at their website.

So, how do you become a mystery shopper? Go to mystery
shopping websites and fill in their registration forms.
They’re all free to join.

Filling out forms not your cup of tea? Well, in a moment,
I’ll show you how to get “form filling software” that will
put an end to form filling misery. This software will fill
in forms for you. You simply type in your name, address,
etc. just once and from then on it will fill in forms using
that information (you can change this information at any
point). You can get the software for free.

“Wait,” you say, “Is there a ready-made list of links to
mystery shopping companies?” Yes, there is, and I’ll show
you where to get it for free. These are DIRECT links that
take you straight to the free registration page of each
company (saving you time and effort). There are about 187
mystery shopping companies in the list. Others are selling
a list for $19.95+ and what’s worse is, they don’t include
direct links!

You’ll want to join as many mystery shopping companies as
possible. The reasons are many but we’ll save that for
another time.

Form Filling Software

This practical software program, which has been in
existence since 1999, fills in forms. To my mind, it
(Roboform) is far and away the best form filler. However,
you’re the ultimate arbiter and should give it a run and
decide for yourself. It’s free to download. Here’s the link
(just click and download – Takes about a minute):

To become an active mystery shopper, visit the following
site and join their “Paid Surveys and Mystery Shopping”
ezine. Each issue includes direct links to the free
registration page of each mystery shopping company on their
list. Plus, they also provide direct links to paid online
survey companies.

Okay, here’s the link to the site that provides a free list
of links to mystery shopping companies:

After doing mystery shopping for a bit, you’ll have
improved your powers of observation. You’ll soon have the
observation skills of a master detective and the local
detective agencies will be ringing. In time you’ll become a
master actor in the art of being natural and hiding your
true intent – and Hollywood will be calling. But, alas, you
might find you that like mystery shopping so much that
you’ll just have to decline the job invitations from the
detective agencies and Hollywood!

Are Paid Surveys Right Up Your Alley?

Friday

Let me be so bold as to suggest that since you’re here you’re seeking online income. You’re willing to put in the effort but, of course, you demand to be compensated for the consumption of your time. In addition, you need something flexible. If my contentions are spot on then paid surveys could be right up your proverbial alley.

Paid surveys are just right for stay at home mothers, among others. Obviously, the extra wad of cash will help pay the bills. And, of course, filling in, or should I say hen-pecking in answers, can be fulfilling. As far as meeting your flexibility mandate, doing surveys online has that covered as well. Moms can do surveys when the children are asleep or out and about, or watching the television. Now, that’s flexibility Gumby would envy.

But, are paid surveys really for you? In the next post I will reveal the answers, or should I say the five questions you need to ask to see if they are. Rest assured, no one is going to flunk this test. Anyway, we’re grading on the curve.
